In my debut as an outside linebacker playing Gridiron (American Football), I only had two words going through my head, “outside containment”, over and over. The message has finally stuck and I’m doing well, but it is amazing how this skill can be moved across to other competitive mediums. The outside contain tactics function is to stop flanking and push the opponent back inside where the rest of the group can crash down on the enemy. This can work remarkably well in Halo 3 on several maps.
Let’s first take for example the Narrows map. Its 3v3 and you have the Red team crashing up the middle. By the Blue term having outside containment they can stop the assault from swinging around, they force the Red team to have to communicate which is the primary target, Blue term can close in on the assault and the Red term is prone to grenade splash damage. Being in at my current employee for more than a year now, I’m starting to get hot feet and feel the need for change. It seems that this is a normal trait for Gen Y, as they bouncer from job to job. I know that at some stage in my career I should display loyalty and the willingness to stick it out, but it seems I can get a head quicker by bouncing.

Job bouncing is a way that you can display your ambition and ability to adapt and constantly learn. Whilst I have been promoted since I started nearly a year back, I am slowly getting into a funk again and losing motivation. (more…)
