A long time ago after sample many kinds of exotic beers, a friend and I had decided we should start our own beer. Having brewed my own beer in the past I was confident we would be able to come up with a mildly successful product. I suggested we needed to apply to the niche market like in “Drew Carey” how they created Buzz Beer, which was caffeine flavoured.
I can’t remember who (or much of that night) suggested it, but it appeared that Chocolate flavoured beer would be the best option. We never did get into the production stage, I wasn’t even sure if chocolate beer was possible but apparently it is. We may have forgotten to start production, but we never stopped coming up with ideas to market it.
Chocolate Morgan was the name. We thought it was a hilarious name (more…)

The internet is an amazing thing; it allows amazing people to blossom. Recently I have found myself addicted to the “internet celebrity” genre of books. I can’t get enough of them! The books revolve around your normal, average, 20-30 something year old guy, they get a crazy idea in their head and they run with it. The end tale is so astonishing and entertaining, the publishing come rolling in and overnight they become best sellers.

Halo 3 has been a huge success on the Xbox 360, with many players still playing it via Xbox Live. The online multiplayer environment incorporates a ranking system where players advance in rank as they gain experience from ranked and social matches. The matchmaking system then uses this in an attempt to pair players across the globe with others of simular ranking to provide a constant competitive experience.
It can be very daunting playing online for the first time, after having played Halo 3 for sometime I will try and provide you with some basic tips below that I have found helpful. The “Group Kill” tactic can be found here and the outside containment tactic here

I’ve caught the travel bug… No, I don’t mean in the sense I had some bad street food and I’m spending more hours in my bathroom then I am in bed. I feel the need to escape.
Last year I flew to the USA for 3 weeks and travel through California and finished it off with a week long trip to Vegas. (more…)

Obesity is a fairly strong word that can spark a number of emotional responses from denial to anger. Unfortunately it is a fast growing problem that many nations are recognising. Obesity seems to have a ‘ripple’ effect on a number of things ranging from self esteem, personal health, the economy and health care industry.
The Surgeon General (David Satcher, M.D. PhD) is quoted saying “Overweight and obesity may not be infectious diseases, but they have reached epidemic proportions in the United States. Overweight and obesity are increasing in both genders and among all population groups…… Approximately 300,000 deaths a year in this country are currently associated with overweight and obesity.”
One of the unique things about this epidemic is how industry adapts to this problem. A number of new business ideas now are arising with the sole aim to address the issue at a young age, (more…)

Twice now I have been asked by friends to “catch up” and have a chat about something “exciting”. After exchanging pleasantries, a couple of minutes of social banter they are off and racing on a long winded, rehearsed and scripted speech about a new company and a way to make money quick.
Call me an old fashioned pessimist, but if a person trying to recruit or sell to you says, “This is not a pyramid scam, its multi-level marketing” then alarm bells should be ringing. Obviously there is something suspicious if their first course of action is to defend themselves. After sitting through two of these I have come to the conclusion that “Multi-Level Marketing” is the politically correct term for “Pyramid Scheme”. (more…)
